Creating an Ergonomic Workstation

During National Chiropractic Health Month, chiropractors are promoting ways to live healthier, happier, more successful lives. Millions of Americans spend their days behind a desk or computer. Creating an ergonomic workstation can help reduce pain and stress and improve health, wellness, and productivity.

Creating an ergonomic workstation simply means adjusting your desk and workspace to suit your height and size and following proper postural habits while sitting at your desk. Below are tips on creating your special space.

Daily sitting, especially if conditions are not conducive to good posture, can cause a lot of strain and stress on the muscle, ligaments and bones of the spine and cause irritation to the nervous system. To eliminate strain and stress on the back and neck, avoid sitting at the edge of your chair and leaning forward. You should sit all the way back with your back against the back of your chair. Adjust your chair height so that both feet can touch the floor. If you do not have an adjustable chair or you want to adjust your chair higher to compensate for a higher desk, you can use a footstool, box, or large book to place under your feet. This will help your feet rest flat while sitting back in your chair. If your chair has lumbar support or if you add lumbar support, be sure that the support aligns in the small of your back and not lower at the tailbone.

Next, sit with your chair comfortably pulled up to your desk with your arms resting at your side at no more than a ninety degree angle at the elbows and wrists straight as they approach the keyboard. A wrist pad at the front of the keyboard can help cushion the wrists and keep them in alignment.

Now that your chair is in the right position, you will want to address the distance of the screen from your face. A good recommendation is to center your screen about an arm's length away from your face. This is a comfortable distance for viewing and will help you resist the urge to lean forward towards a screen that is adjusted to far away. Also, be sure that your screen is not too low or too high. Your eyes should meet the middle of the screen without you having to move your head to look up or down. If your screen stand does not have an adjustment for height, you can use a book or other flat object to place underneath your screen stand to lift it.

The Power Of Cold Laser Therapy

A relatively new treatment in the chiropractic field is cold laser therapy. The technology has been around for approximately 30 years, but most chiropractors who use this therapy haven't started using it till recent. The therapy uses well-developed technology to attack the source of several issues within the body, contributing to areas of pain, and enable the areas to heal and be corrected. This therapy process is quite unique for several reasons.

-Cold laser therapy does not require invasive treatment that other surgeries and therapies require. Not invades the body, only lasers penetrating through layers of skin and muscle to reach cells. Recovery is not needed since nothing about the treatment is invasive.

-Most people prefer this treatment because they aren't left with the burden of recovery. Instead, the issue is corrected over time with several therapeutic treatments. Recovery is one of the most difficult parts of surgery and people don't have to deal with it when they get cold laser therapy.

-Cold laser therapy targets the area of pain or problem and works to rejuvenate and stimulate damaged cells. Since cells are the main aspect of healing and correcting a damaged area, they must be targeted and made healthy again. The lasers send photons into the area of damage and enable the cells to become healthy again.

-This therapy can help people with several ailments--arthritis, back pain, tendonitis, chronic pain, muscle strain, soft tissue injuries and more. Since this therapy is so versatile, it helps numerous people each year to recover and become healthy again.

-Side effects are non existent, if the doctor conducts the therapy properly. With less side effects than other treatments, there is less to worry about for the patient.

-Medication is not needed with this treatment, which cuts down on additional costs and reducing the patient's dependency on medication for treatment.

How to Stay Younger Inside and Out Than Actual Biological Age

To be younger inside out means feel younger and look younger. To feel younger and look younger are two different aspects.

So you have to work on them one by one individually.

But the key behind the two aspects are the same. Both of them depend on rejuvenating.

But the key behind the two aspects are the same. Both of them depend on rejuvenating.

But at some points feel younger and look younger are interconnected.

Let me explain to you how:

If your health is young I mean every system in your body is younger than your actual biological age, you have no complain about pains and fatigue then you will feel as younger as you used to be at your young age.

If your health is younger from inside than you will obviously look younger outside than your age.

Now the question is how to have that in reality, what you have to do for that?

Let me help you to ease your confusion:

Feeling younger and looking younger are possible with the most powerful but easily available two rejuvenators.

One is Natural antioxidants

Natural antioxidants are Nature's answer to look and feel as youthful as possible.

By neutralizing free radicals, antioxidants can have a powerful effect on your body.

1. The antioxidants

Reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and age spots from skin by helping to prevent and repair damage to skin tissues.
Support an optimal immune response to any regular ailments like cold, flu or any infection and inhibit the free radicals which cause heart disease, cancer, inflammatory bowel syndrome and Alzheimer's'.
Increase your strength, stamina and endurance in day to day life.

And the number two is physical activity or exercise.

2. Exercise:

Provide relaxation by decreasing stress hormone cortisol.
Cortisol is a hormone gets over produced when the brain is under stress. Elevated cortisol levels increase the cravings for sugar and weight gain.
    Increase endorphins
Endorphins are the chemical which interacts with the receptors in brain to get positive feeling and helps relieve the one major factor of aging that is stress.
Help flush toxins out of your body through sweats and encouraging the healthy function of cleansing organs such as the liver and kidneys.
Helps cleanse your skin through sweat glands and promoting glow by improving blood circulation.
May help you sleep better at night.
Relaxes muscles and helps soothe aches.

SO to stay younger from inside and out you have to be stay alert or fight with the elements or your enemies.

Your major enemies are the free radicals and your fighters are the antioxidants.

To understand the way, that how the free radicals and antioxidants interact with the human body, you have to know a bit about human body mechanism.

The human body is composed of many different types of cells. The cells are the building blocks of the human body, just like the bricks of a building.

The free radicals are the dangerous chemical substances which damage the cells of the human body. In natural process the cells dies and get rejuvenate everyday but if they get damaged by the free radicals, they can't rejuvenate themselves.

Our body gets in contact with free radicals everyday through the chemicals from food preservatives, environmental factors of the urban life style such as pollution, radiation, cigarette smoke and herbicides and stress.

Antioxidants are substances that protect the cells of the human body against the effects of free radicals by inhibiting them.

Antioxidants are phytonutrients (vitamins and minerals) as well as enzymes, which are naturally found in the plants.

The main antioxidants are Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E and the mineral Selenium.

So for now, the best way to ensure adequate intake of the antioxidant nutrients, is through a balanced diet consisting of 5-8 servings of fruits and vegetables per day.
